{"id":97,"date":"2017-04-09T08:17:02","date_gmt":"2017-04-09T15:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nrgcbc.ca\/fishingforever\/?p=97"},"modified":"2017-04-09T08:17:02","modified_gmt":"2017-04-09T15:17:02","slug":"97-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.nrgcbc.ca\/fishingforever\/97-2\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"header-1\">\n<div class=\"header-2\">\n<div class=\"header-3\">\n<div id=\"toolbar\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"headerbar\">\n<div class=\"right\">\n<div class=\"module mod-blank   first last\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bcwf.net\/images\/stories\/spacer.gif\" alt=\"spacer\" width=\"0\" height=\"80\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"header-b1\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"content\">\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcwf.bc.ca\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Home\" src=\"http:\/\/bcwf.net\/images\/stories\/logo.jpg\" alt=\"logo\" width=\"257\" height=\"90\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Fishing Forever and Family Fishing Weekend<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Again this year on Fathers\u2019 Day weekend we will host a popular event at Cottonwood Lake which is at a beautiful Central Kootenay Regional District park.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 10 am to 4 pm we will conduct Fishing Forever \u2013 a BCWF program designed to cater to those of any age who are handicapped in some way.\u00a0 It could be as simple as impaired mobility.\u00a0 Their caregivers are required to be present.<\/p>\n<p>Two busloads are expected from Nelson and another busload from Castlegar.<\/p>\n<p>We offer to these folks a sunny day on the beach in a beautiful setting with a nearby campfire.\u00a0 We serve them a light lunch, typically burgers and a drink.\u00a0 We offer a boat ride and fishing with all gear supplied on a lake recently stocked with panfry-sized rainbow trout (thanks to the Freshwater Fishing Society of BC).\u00a0 Each participant gets a commemorative T-shirt and a cap as supplies last.<\/p>\n<p>The emphasis shifts on Sunday, June 18 (same times) to the kids and their parents.\u00a0 Again we supply PFDs, fishing gear, and boats;
