The annual .22 Chicken Shoot on May 17 was well attended with 45 shooters and a fair number of spectators. The shooting started at 9:00 am, with Dan Danforth as main shoot organizer and Range Marshall, club range officers and excited shooters on the firing line. The day was a great success as volunteers became acquainted with one another; new shooters gained knowledge of firearms and firearm etiquette in a safe hands-on experience; the club gained positive public interest in the shooting sport; the usual hungry participants enjoyed a great lunch — 64 burgers and hotdogs were consumed, along with carrot salad, pickles, drinks and numerous dessert items.<\/p>\n
Thank you to the volunteers, shooters and spectators for your support. Special thank you to Dan Danforth – Range Marshall and shoot organizer, Brad Fuller –\u00a0 set up, Arnold Criddle, Marvin Paisner, Neil Sorsdahl and Keith Marsh – club range officers, Stephen White- a full day of coaching on the firing line, Richard Green – admission, Glen McKen – cook, Jude Schmitz – dessert, Bob Vliet – set up and trap shoot.<\/p>\n
To those who worked all day, as well as paid double for lunch – Thank you for your support !!<\/p>\n
The trap machine had many interested people trying to hit the clays. Great fun!!<\/p>\n
