Trap Shooting Ends for 2015 year

Hi All,

The weather has put an end to our first full season of clay busting.

It really helped my pheasant and grouse hunting.

Thanks to all who helped with the work and shot on Sundays.

We are possibly going to shoot on Saturdays next year to ease

conflict times with shooting events at other clubs.

Bob

.22 Chicken Shoot Review

The annual .22 Chicken Shoot on May 17 was well attended with 45 shooters and a fair number of spectators. The shooting started at 9:00 am, with Dan Danforth as main shoot organizer and Range Marshall, club range officers and excited shooters on the firing line. The day was a great success as volunteers became acquainted with one another; new shooters gained knowledge of firearms and firearm etiquette in a safe hands-on experience; the club gained positive public interest in the shooting sport; the usual hungry participants enjoyed a great lunch — 64 burgers and hotdogs were consumed, along with carrot salad, pickles, drinks and numerous dessert items.

Thank you to the volunteers, shooters and spectators for your support. Special thank you to Dan Danforth – Range Marshall and shoot organizer, Brad Fuller –  set up, Arnold Criddle, Marvin Paisner, Neil Sorsdahl and Keith Marsh – club range officers, Stephen White- a full day of coaching on the firing line, Richard Green – admission, Glen McKen – cook, Jude Schmitz – dessert, Bob Vliet – set up and trap shoot.

To those who worked all day, as well as paid double for lunch – Thank you for your support !!

The trap machine had many interested people trying to hit the clays. Great fun!!

Thanks to Bob Vliet and Monte Skelton for the trap shooting experience .

TRAP SHOOTING MAY 3rd, 2015

IMG_2064OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe started trap shooting at the Porto Rico range April 5th. There were 9 shooters knocking off the cobwebs and dust. Some came right back to form, others of us will take a day or two.

The equipment all worked very well, complimenting a fine sunny morning.

We’ll shoot again this Sunday, May 3rd, 9:00 am, shotgun start. Hope to see you there.

We have 12 & 20 ga. shells at $7.00 a box. Cost per round of clays is $4.00.
