HELLO AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE NELSON DISTRICT ROD AND GUN CLUB. MY NAME IS HOWIE GRANT AND I AM THE NEW PRESIDENT FOR THE CLUB. I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS TIME AND THANK OUR PAST PRESIDENT WALLY KAMPEN FOR HIS DEDICATION AND CONTINUED SERVICE TO THE NDRGC. I DEFINITELY HAVE BIG SHOES TO FILL AND I WILL BE COUNTING ON YOU, OUR MEMBERSHIP TO HELP OUR EXECUTIVE AND ME MAKE THIS ONE OF THE BEST YEARS EVER.
WE HAVE ANOTHER STRONG EXECUTIVE THIS YEAR THAT INCLUDES TWO NEW FACES, NAZZY KING AND TYLER BURROWS. NAZ IS NOW LOOKING AFTER THE OUTDOOR RANGE AND TYLER IS OUR NEW SECRETARY, A BIG WELCOME TO BOTH OF YOU.
LOOKING AHEAD WE HAVE OUR UPCOMING BIG GAME BANQUET SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 16, 2019. FOR MANY YEARS RICHARD GREEN HAS ORGANIZED THIS EVENT, OUR BIGGEST FUNDRAISER AND ONE THAT KEEPS OUR MEMBERSHIPS AFFORDABLE. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED SO CONTACT RICHARD TO SEE WHERE YOU CAN HELP.
I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO 2019 AS IT PROMISES TO BE A VERY EXCITING TIME FOR ALL OF US, FROM THE CHICKEN SHOOT IN MAY, FISHING FOREVER IN JUNE TO THE HERITAGE MATCH IN AUGUST, THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE THE OUTDOORS WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
DURING THE COMING YEAR I LOOK FORWARD TO THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK WITH OUR MEMBERS WHO WANT TO SHARE IDEAS OR OPINIONS ON TOPICS THAT COULD BENEFIT OUR CLUB.
