3D Archery Shoot 2017 & Outdoor Range Closure
There will be a 3D archery shoot, June 3rd, and 4th, at the Barrett Creek, Nelson District Rod And Gun Club outdoor range.
The Outdoor Range will be closed to Firearms on these days
Categories for Compound bows (hunter and unlimited), longbows and re-curves, kids categories, and even crossbows.
Dry camping available on-site.
A family friendly fun event.
Registration starts Friday evening. Shoot one day or both.

An all day shoot with historic roots. Cups, trophies and shield date from 1910 – 14 era. Ranges are 100 yd., 200 yd. to 300 yd. Winners will have their names added to such treasures as the Annable Cup,the Home Loan Trophy, the Range Master, the Tramway Cup or the Nelson City Challenge Shield (three member teams).

FISHING FOREVER
Fishing Forever and Family Fishing Weekend
The Fishing Forever Weekend is a yearly family event that The Nelson Rod And Gun Club, in association with BCWF, has continued since 2004 and has grown 50% annually. It creates an opportunity for disabled, seniors and families to enjoy a day of fishing in the beautiful setting of Cottonwood Lake. However, volunteers, boats* and operators are seriously needed to ensure its success.
Volunteers are needed for:
– Moving equipment to the site and setting up on Friday afternoon, June 19.
– Help in the kitchen, 3 hour shift (Sat. & Sun.),
– Help organize fishing gear, registration, boats & passengers, life jackets and boat operators (Sat. & Sun.), and
– Help to take it all down on Sunday late afternoon (4 pm).
Commodores will be needed to oversee and coordinate the ‘on water’ activities (Sat. & Sun.).

* Boats must have electric motors or oars. No gas engines permitted.

Spring Chicken .22 Fun Shoot – May 17th 2015
Sunday, 9 am – 4 pm.
Cost – $ 10.00 per participant – includes lunch! Maximum $40. per family.
Everyone welcome! Dust off the .22 and come on out to the Nelson District Rod and Gun Club range. Porto Rico Rd., Hwy 6, near Ymir.
Food and targets are provided and range is reserved for exclusive use of participants .
A minimum of 100 rounds is suggested per shooter. Ammo will be available on site for those needing it.
Any person without a firearms license, or are new to shooting must be accompanied by a qualified person during the shooting events.
Ear and eye protection are required. Foam ear plugs are usually adequate for the noise level.
Reactive targets, metal silhouettes and plinking opportunities galore will make for a lot
of fun.
Rules are flexible except for safety.
Sorry, .22 magnums and .17 HMR are too powerful for the targets, so .22 Long Rifle is maximum power.
Bring a friend, kids, grand kids, neighbors, even your spouse 🙂 See what you can do with your .22! Ranges from 20 to 100 yards. Optics or iron sights are all OK.

The indoor Range will be closed to the general membership on the evening of December 15th, January 5th and 19th to be used by the Cadets for air rifle training.
