New Fly Fishing and Fly Tying Group
Starting in March 2023, I would like to start a Fly Fishing Group within the Nelson District Rod and Gun
Club.
The Vision of this group is to promote fly fishing as a sporting and conservation activity that can be
enjoyed by all through fish conservation, member participation, and education.
Depending on Club interest, I could potentially organize the following events:
NDRGC SHOTGUN RAFFLE
Starting Feb 1, 2023, there will be a raffle on a new Remington Model 870 Express 12 gauge shotgun.
There are only 200 tickets available and they are $10 each.
The draw will take place on the final day of our Gun Show April 2, 2023 @ 2:30 pm at Mickey McEwen Hall.
Tickets will be available at the Banquet, the Gun Show, or from most NDRGC Executive and Directors.

Our condolences to Mario’s family and friends.
We got to know Mario when the Italian Society did the kitchen reno’s and additional storage at the Rod & Gun Club hall.
Mario was a key player in every stage of the project that the Italian Society and Nelson community will enjoy for generations to come.

Club member, Ron Lee is organizing a .22 match for Saturday October 22, 2022 at the outdoor range. This promises to be a lot of fun with teams of 2 (shooter/spotter) and an entry fee of only $5 each. The match is a combination PR and SIL and 100 rounds per shooter will get the job done. If you want to do some practice shooting, show up at the outdoor range at 9:30 am. Practice targets will be set out at 100 yards. The match starts at 10:00 am and the course of fire will be explained during the match.
Contact Ron if you have any questions: 250 357-9984, or email canadasteeldust@gmail.com
The outdoor range will be closed October 5 and 7, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
