Pat-Trap is on line

The new trap machine is installed and working.

The next project is to arrange shooting times.

Eight or more shooters per shoot would work well.

Thursday afternoons (5:00 PM on ) are for the ladies.

Tuesdays are busy, but most any other day or evening could work.

Email – rgvliet@telus.net or phone (250) 357-9309 to help plan a schedule.

The charge could be $4.00 per round. Boxes of shells (12 ga.-20 ga.)$7.00.

Suggestions welcome.

Great times for trap shooting are here.

Talk soon, Bob V.

Work almost complete on new trap machine

June 7th 2014

Hopefully tomorrow will see the trap machine given its first test. We may be able to shoot by the afternoon. Brad Fuller, Darren Marsh and Steven White volunteered to clean up the trap house, move the clays to the c-can and install the Pat-Trap.

Thanks guys,

Bob V.

.22 Rimfire Fun – Public Welcome
Mark your Calendar: Sunday, 18 May 2014
9 AM to 4 PM-ish
Only $10 each person, $5 for age 12 & under
$5 for lunch only (non shooting visitors)
Bring .22 rim fire & ammo – limited ammo available for sale.
The Chicken Shoot does not involve live chickens, or even grouse “chickens”. It is all about having family fun shooting .22 rimfire at paper and reactive targets. All ages, all skill levels, all types of .22 rimfire firearms (legal, of course) are welcome to come and have fun. Sorry: .17 HMR and .22 magnum are too powerful for our targets – use .22 rimfire only at this event.

Targets are very variable, from actual .22 scale metallic silhouettes, to balloons, to bi-athlon metallic, to spinning gizmos and gongs. Clay birds (not thrown) are also used for instant gratification  accuracy, particularly to more youthful or inexperienced shooters. Paper targets precisely record your groups. Ranges may vary from about 20 yds to 200 yds! “Equipment” shooters also welcome – this is not a competition except with yourself. Our outdoor range is covered from the weather, with solid benches to shoot from. Range Safety persons are always present during “Chicken Shooting”, for guidance and instruction. Volunteers for everything are
welcome!!!!!

We have a range hut for food & shelter, outhouses as required, and lots of parking. Easy to find, we are off Hwy 6 between Salmo and Nelson, just turn onto Porto Rico Rd and in about 200 yd you are at the range entrance. See you there!
