Right now the Office of Boating Safety is reaching out to Rod and Gun Clubs around British Columbia with the hope of creating partnerships in spreading boating safety messages. My sincerest condolences to Carol, Jodi, Curt and James and all the grandkids from Beth and I. I will see you in the mountains again my friend when my time comes. Rest in peace.

RANGE CLOSURE UPDATE

Notice re Outdoor range:

The outdoor range at Barrett Creek will be closed all day on Wednesday Nov. 10 and Saturday Nov.13.

The outdoor range will also be closed from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday Oct. 30, Saturday Nov. 6, Sunday Nov. 14, and Saturday Nov. 20.

THE NDRGC OUTDOOR RANGE LOCATED AT PORTO RICO ROAD WILL OPEN ON AUGUST 9, 2021 7:30 AM WITH THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE: These restrictions apply to all venues at the outdoor range (Archery, Trap, and rifle range) – the use of steel jacket projectiles is prohibited – Smoking is restricted to areas with concrete floor or gravel only. No smoking downrange or over ground cover with organic material – Shooting is limited up to the 200-yard berm – Shooting will be completed by noon on any day – Shooters will maintain a fire watch for 30 minutes after cessation of shooting **The use of binary (exploding) targets and tracer ammunition are always prohibited at NDRGC Outdoor Range**

Outdoor Range Restrictions – Fire Season

Due to the threat of wildfire, the NDRGC is actively reducing the risk of ignition at their outdoor range. The range will remain open with the following restrictions in place

NDRGC Club Policy 2017.10.03 – Outdoor Range Restrictions – Fire Season

These restrictions apply to all venues at the outdoor range ( Archery, Trap and rifle range)

–  the use of steel jacket projectiles is prohibited
